The brick building – which is one of two George Brown College facilities converted into residential suites about a decade ago – is surrounded by grocers, trendy cafés and restaurants, vintage clothing shops, as well as public transit, the University of Toronto and Little Italy.

This 585-square-foot studio is quite compact, but it encompasses all the basics to accommodate busy individuals who live, work and play downtown, agent Christopher Bibby says.

Within the Kings condominium community downtown, there are several brick structures containing about 100 stacked, multilevel townhouse units. Upper-level units have rooftop terraces, while the units below – such as this three-storey residence – have direct access to a garage off the lower-level recreation room.

After a fruitless search for a downtown loft, agent Christopher Bibby had his clients consider different properties around Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue.

A week after a bidding war over a condominium townhouse in the King and Dufferin area, buyers with rejected offers turned their attention to this nearly identical unit in the same complex, says agent Christopher Bibby.

This ground-level suite has the benefit of a one-of-a-kind layout and location in an eco-friendly building in Roncesvalles Village, says agent Christopher Bibby.

Each unit in the newly built residence, called High Park Lofts, is entered from an interior corridor, yet this 900-square-foot space is one of three with a second street-level entrance.

The 1,257-square-foot unit is one of the largest models in the brick warehouse that was converted into a condominium residence in 2004. “The way the building is laid out is incredible,” the agent says. “No unit … is identical.”

On a one-way street in a residential neighbourhood in the former city of York, this two-storey house is representative of the type of real estate available there, agent Christopher Bibby says.

“The nice thing about that home is that it did go for under $300,000,” he says. “And it was a detached house.”
