LISTING AGENT Christopher Bibby, Sutton Group-Associates Realty Inc.

The Action: About 40 private showings and an agents-only open house were arranged to showcase this two-bedroom suite in one of two buildings in the Robert Watson Lofts complex.

What They Got: About five years ago, a 900-square-foot space on the fifth floor was reserved to create this loft-style residence with ten-foot ceilings, concrete floors, exposed ductwork and floor-to-ceilings facing southwest.

There are walkouts to the balcony from the master suite, which has access to one of two full bathrooms, and a living room that is open to a dining area and kitchen outfitted with stainless steel appliance and granite counters.

The loft is virtually all-inclusive with a locker and parking, as well as hydro and water costs incorporated into the monthly fee of $420. Residents also have access to a gym and party room.

The Agent’s Take: “A lot of people want the condo lifestyle, but they don’t necessarily want to be right downtown in the middle of everything,” agent Christopher Bibby said.

“[There] you’re living in a loft … but it you still have a neighbourhood feel with the park next door and a farmer’s market every Monday, which is growing with popularity, as well as all the restaurants and shops on Roncesvalles Avenue.”

As for the appeal of the loft, it has cool style and practical storage solutions.

“My clients upgraded the kitchen on their own and they also made upgrades to the second bedroom in terms of the closet,” Mr. Bibby said. “They got a pantry built in, which was something I’ve never seen in any of the other units I’ve sold there.”
