LISTING AND CO-OP AGENT: Christopher Bibby, Sutton Group Associates Realty Inc.
There is little turnover in the stacked condominium townhouse community off Strachan Avenue, just south of King Street West, agent Christopher Bibby says.
That makes it difficult to purchase a unit in the roughly three-year-old complex, much less one with traits of a traditional townhouse such as this two-storey unit possesses.
“These aren’t available too often,” Mr. Bibby says. “These are the best townhouse condominiums in downtown Toronto [for less than $500,000].”
There are no units above or below this 1,100-square-foot suite, which is one of the larger models available with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, plus a private, 300-square-foot rooftop deck overlooking a scenic courtyard.
“You weren’t looking into another townhouse, you actually had a view of the park,” the agent says. “It was situated in the best location in the complex.”
In addition, there are gas, power and water outlets on the terrace, which exits to a landing with laundry facilities.
The level below houses carpeted bedrooms and a private bathroom off the master suite.
Down another level, there is a bathroom, open living and dining room with hardwood floors, and a kitchen with ceramic floors and stainless steel appliances.
A monthly fee of $295 pays for the upkeep of common elements such as landscaping and lighting. “There’s a lot of curb appeal for these towns,” Mr. Bibby says. “A lot of other ones look so institutionalized.”
Parking is located in an underground garage, yet it is easy to walk to amenities such as a 24-hour supermarket, artisan shops, restaurants and cafés, or to reach streetcars and a GO Train station.
